Welcome to UR Hillel!

UR Hillel serves a campus community of approximately 750 Jewish students and a large number of Jewish faculty and staff. Our offices are located in the Interfaith Chapel which is located on Wilson Boulevard and faces Rush Rhees Library. We are the central address for Jewish life on the UR campus and integral part of student life. Hillel provides a wide variety of programs and activities each and every week.

Elkin and Kraft Lead ASB Delegation

Jon Elkin '08 and Elana Kraft '09 led a delegation of 12 UR students on an Alternative Spring Break to Florida City, Florida March 9th throgh 16th. UR Hillel is proud to be one of 7 Hillels in the United States chosen to be part of a pilot program that engages students to plan and impelemnt an alternative break of their own design. Jon and Elana have been working since October to create an experience that will enrich the lives of the student particpants as well as the community where the project is based.
