The Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester welcomes you! The Federation is an "umbrella" for the over 25,000 people who live in Jewish households in the Greater Rochester area. The Federation represents a diverse and vibrant community with so much to offer. Some programs of the Federation include:
- Partnership 2000 Modi'in – Rochester
The partnership between the citizens of Modi'in and the Jewish community of Rochester, New York was launched in November 2003. The ties formed between the two communities are on a people to people basis, connecting schools, students, teachers, cultural delegates, etc. Youth and education are primary the primary goals.
- The Center for Holocaust Awareness and Information (CHAI)
Jewish Federation's Center for Holocaust Awareness and Information (CHAI) works to ensure that the Holocaust and its lessons are not forgotten. Its acronym, CHAI, meaning "life" in Hebrew, reflects the mission of The Center, to keep alive the memory of the Holocaust through the life stories of local survivors and their families.

- Jewish Education Services
Jewish Education Services are a resource to all those interested in Jewish learning throughout the community. JES provides programming for families, teens and adults, in addition to support for area Jewish educators.

Jewish Community Center of Greater Rochester
The JCC exists to strengthen Jewish identity by providing quality experiences that enrich the personal, cultural, social, and physical well-being of the entire Jewish community and the Rochester community as a whole. The JCC offers a full athletic center, theater performances, Jewish education and cultural programs. Programs include:
The JCC of Greater Rochester established the Rochester Jewish Film Festival in 2001 to present the best contemporary Jewish themed films from around the world to the Rochester community. RJFF exists to promote awareness and pride in the diversity of the Jewish people; to strengthen community consciousness of Jewish identity, history and culture; to provide a forum for community gatherings that allows valuable dialogue; and to create an international showcase for filmmakers whose work explores Jewish themes.
The Lane Dworkin Jewish Book Festival exists to create a showcase for Jewish authors and/or books of Jewish content. In so doing, the Festival promotes awareness, appreciation and pride in the diversity of the Jewish people, strengthens community consciousness of Jewish identity, history and culture, and provides a community forum to stimulate dynamic and provocative dialogue. Check out the calendar for this year's Festival which begins in early November.
