Dennis Kirschbaum is the Executive Director of Hillel at the University of Rochester. From 2001-2014, Kirschbaum served in several positions at Hillel's Schusterman International Center, including Associate Vice President for Campus Services. Prior to coming to Hillel he served as Executive Director of the Public Risk Management Association. He has a B.A. in English Literature from Guilford College and a M.A. degree in Jewish Studies from Baltimore Hebrew University. He has traveled extensively in Israel, Thailand, Europe, and east Africa. He is an Adirondack 46er having hiked to the summit of the highest peaks in New York State. He is also a writer and poet. His poetry chapbook "Clattering East," is published by Finishing Line Press.
Debbie Stein has more than 20 years experience with office administration and customer support. She and her husband Michale (Kippy) have raised two children in Rochester. It is her pleasure to work with your students during their college years at the University of Rochester and welcomes students and their families to Hillel at the University of Rochester.
Director of Engagement
Kayla Bogad is the Director of Engagement for Hillel at the University of Rochester. She is a graduate of the College of Charleston, in Charleston, SC with a B.S. in Business Administration and Hospitality and Tourism Management. Kayla loves to travel, she's been to 26 states and 22 countries! She is rarely seen without a copy of the New York Times Crossword Puzzle and a Starbucks cup.
Jewish Agency Israel Fellow to Hillel
Tal Hadad is the Jewish Agency Israel Fellow to Hillel at the University of Rochester. Tal grew up in Haifa, Israel. In 2008, he joined the army and served in the Intelligence Corps. During the past 4 years, Tal has worked as a licensed tour guide in Israel, primarily for young Jewish teenagers from the US. Tal has a B.A. in Geography and International Relations from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Tal enjoys hiking, sports, playing guitars and meeting new people (especially the ones who make him laugh).
Springboard Innovation Fellow
Meg is the Springboard Fellow joining the Hillel team here at the University of Rochester! Meg graduated just around the block at RIT with a B.A. in Visual Media. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Meg is excited to continue to make Rochester her home! Meg enjoys spending her free time rock climbing at a local climbing gym and indulging in the intricacies of the Marvel Universe.
