Dennis Kirschbaum is the Executive Director of Hillel at the University of Rochester. From 2001-2014, Kirschbaum served in several positions at Hillel's Schusterman International Center, including Associate Vice President for Campus Services. Prior to coming to Hillel he served as Executive Director of the Public Risk Management Association. He has a B.A. in English Literature from Guilford College and a M.A. degree in Jewish Studies from Baltimore Hebrew University. He has traveled extensively in Israel, Thailand, Europe, and east Africa. He is an Adirondack 46er having hiked to the summit of the highest peaks in New York State. He is also a writer and poet. His poetry chapbook "Clattering East," is published by Finishing Line Press.

Meg Wells

Director of Jewish Student Life

Meg joined the Hillel team in 2017 as the Springboard Innovation Fellow and is continuing to serve the U of R Jewish community as the Director of Jewish Student Life. Meg originally graduated just around the block at RIT with a B.A. in Visual Media. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Meg has lived in Rochester for long enough to consider herself a local, but not a native. Meg enjoys spending her free time rock climbing at a local climbing gym and is on the hunt for the perfect burger in all of Rochester. Feel free to ask her about how she links Jewish texts to the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

Hannah Pomerantz

Springboard Ezra Fellow

Hannah is serving as the Springboard Ezra Jewish Education Fellow and is new to Rochester. She was raised in New Rochelle, NY (aka Downstate) but moved to Cleveland, OH to attend Case Western Reserve University. During her undergraduate career at CWRU, she received both a BA in History and Political Science and her MA in Bioethics and Medical Humanities. In her free time, Hannah is learning how to paint in watercolor and is working on writing a collection of short stories. She is also an avid women’s soccer fan (especially of the Utah Royals) and loves BA Test Kitchen videos.
